The steps to apply for Special Minor’s Restricted License are below.
- Fill out the Special Minor’s Restricted License in full. Middle and High School secretaries also have the forms available.
- Bring a copy of the student's permit. If you cannot make a copy, have the student bring it into the office and the secretaries can make a copy.
- The Superintendent needs to sign the application and a separate form that you will take to the DOT. In some instances, Mr. Gee may not be in the office to sign right away. In this case, he will sign when he's able to, and the form will then be sent to the student's school to be given to them.
The DOT website has detailed information about Special Minor’s Restricted License, including who is eligible and the rules for using them.
