What is FFA?
From animals to plants, from business to community service. If you're interested in hands-on learning, career exploration, leadership development, or competing in completely new ways, FFA is the place for you! While FFA was formerly known as Future Farmers of America, the National FFA Organization now encourages students of all backgrounds to discover all the agriculture industry offers. Local FFA chapters are centered around growing leaders, strengthening agriculture and building communities. While many students do pursue a career in agriculture following their time in FFA, many choose other routes and still find their FFA experiences extremely helpful and applicable in life after high school.
FFA in Clear Lake
Clear Lake FFA began in 2019 and is an intracurricular activity offered for grades 9-12. Any students enrolled in an agriculture class at CLHS are automatically FFA members. Clear Lake FFA annually participates in the National FFA Convention and Expo, the Iowa FFA State Leadership Conference, National FFA Week, career development events, leadership development events, leadership conferences and multiple community service projects.
